Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto project breaks ground!
We’re pleased to announce that the Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto project broke ground earlier this month at the outset of it’s centennial year, marking a significant milestone for this exciting project. The Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto is North America’s only private golf club created by women for women, founded by Ada Mackenzie in 1924. Ada Mackenzie was a professional golfer and a trailblazing figure in women’s golf. She was one of Canada’s earliest and most accomplished female golfers, known for her skill, determination, and contributions to the sport.
The project includes a renovation and addition to the existing clubhouse to better address current capacity issues and improve member experience and service. The project scope involves a restoration and refurbishment of the original 100-year-old clubhouse building, and a new addition, which includes an expanded kitchen and service spaces and a new light-filled heavy timber dining room for hosting tournaments and other club events.
It has been wonderful working with the insightful and professional Building Committee for the golf club and the diligent builder team at Riedmann Management. Thanks also to our amazing consultant team for their positive collaboration to date!
