We host Studio Tours as part of Doors Open 2022
As part of the City’s of Toronto’s Doors Open event of celebrating architecture and public space throughout the city, we opened our studio to the public on May 28. More than two hundred people visited to learn about the building and its new life as a creative community hub in the neighbourhood, and to see our work and process. Principal Heather Dubbeldam gave two standing-room-only talks about sustainable design, with audience participation and questions. We also transformed the boulevard parking spaces in front of our building into green people spaces as part of a pop-up pocket park installation for the day. Special thanks to our pop-up park sponsors Oriole Landscaping (plants and shrubs), Urban Mode (outdoor furniture) and Lazy Lawn (astroturf) for helping to make it happen.
