Heather is an Architectural Designer and the Marketing Director at Dubbeldam with a passion for writing and communication aimed at inspiring dialogue and fostering connections between the architecture profession and the community at large. Heather’s interests revolve around the intersection of public policy and architectural design, and the impact the urban built environment has on citizen engagement.
Heather’s architectural experience includes background with a range of city processes, working experience with heritage restoration and conservation, and stakeholder consultation and engagement. As an architectural designer at Dubbeldam, she has been involved in all project types from the initial proposal and concept stages through to construction documentation, with a particular focus on our multi-unit housing projects and research on liveability.
Prior to joining Dubbeldam, Heather worked in heritage conservation, where she honed her perspective on sustainable design and respect for history and context. Heather served on council at the Ontario Association of Architects and adjacent committees as the Intern Representative, and she currently volunteers on the Executive of the Toronto Society of Architects. Heather’s passion for community involvement and architectural design in the city of Toronto forms her enthusiastic and problem-solving approach to every project.
