Intern Architect Opportunity

Dubbeldam Inc. Architecture + Design is a Toronto practice with an award-winning portfolio of contemporary residential, commercial and institutional projects. We are a collaborative practice in a studio setting and encourage a very hands-on approach for staff with ample opportunities to experience all aspects of projects from start to finish. DESCRIPTION

We have a full-time position available for an Intern Architect with a passion for design excellence, environmental sustainability and a strong work ethic. The candidate will possess a minimum of one year post-graduate work experience, preferably with some experience in a small to medium-sized practice.

Qualifications include:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, experience working in Revit an asset;
  • Solid working experience with graphic design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design;
  • Proficiency in 3-D rendering would be an asset (Sketch-up, V-ray, Rhino, 3D max);
  • Strong communications skills (written and verbal);
  • Experience producing construction drawings & details an asset;
  • Ability to successfully interact with other team members and take direction;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment.

Tasks would include working on multiple design and architecture projects at various stages and scales, as well as involvement with the studio’s research and marketing activities, including graphics and correspondence. We are looking for candidates to play an active role in the culture and growth of our office.

  • Be passionate about design, architecture and sustainability;
  • Be active in and take initiative on the studio’s research activities;
  • Coordinate graphics and promotional documents for marketing purposes;
  • Have the ability to take initiative and follow-through on a wide range of tasks and responsibilities;
  • Have a sense of responsibility for their work.
